Hum considered to be one of the world’s smallest towns in the world is located in the central part of Istria is just over 2.5 hours of a journey from Croatia’s capital city, Zagreb. The town’s population is a cosy amount of 27, yes you heard us, 27 people! Built in the Medieval age, it’s survived all of this time.
Hum is surrounded by an amazing amount of beautiful nature and landscapes. The moment you know you’re outside the town you’ll be met with two huge copper doors that have some incredible handles decorated with Glagolitic Script.
Now, the town doesn’t hold a huge selection of tourist attractions like other parts of Croatia, but one thing’s for sure, it has some of the most incredible scenery you will ever see. After you’ve wandered the whopping two streets Hum has to offer, you have to venture to the amazing tavern that serves organic Istrian meals from the early hours of the day. The tavern holds some incredible views across the vineyards but the tables fill up very quickly, so be sure to get in there nice and early to ensure you get the most out of your visit.
